Just a relatively young (32!) art collector shelling his experiences on the art market to the open market.
Started seriously collecting at 19 with Cindy Sherman photographs, when they were still affordable.
Now, based mostly in New York with annual too-brief spells in Tokyo, Paris, Shanghai, London and California, developing an arsenal including Hernan Bas, Cao Fei, the Chapman brothers, Chiho Aoshima, Ciu Xiuwen, Marcel Dzama, Barnaby Furnas, Gilbert and George, Damien Hirst, Mary Kelly, Lee Bul, Robert Mapplethorpe, Mr., Nara Yoshitomo, Yvonne Rainer, Martha Rosler, Sugito Hiroshi, Takano Aya, Banks Violette, Kara Walker, etc.
When not online researching artists, pestering dealers, re-arranging the art in my apartments or traveling to art fairs or exhibitions, I could either be found in various corporate conference rooms being highly paid to dispense advise to people of wealth on philanthropic strategies, or playing with the adorable French bulldog in the photograph above.
His name is Ernesto. He’s not much into contemporary art. In other words, he’s bloody brilliant!
